Coffey Testing Announces Completion of Management Buy-Out and Appointment of New Directors
In late 2021, Coffey Testing senior managers completed the final stages of a management buy-out from Tetra tech Coffey, now making it a wholly staff and Australian owned entity. To continue the improvement of governance, Coffey Testing and its Board are pleased to announce the appointment of two new non-executive Directors: Andrew Morison (Chairman) and Ian Webb.
Joining existing Executive Directors Dawn Watt (CEO), Thomas Stevenson (GM), and Darren Pickering (CFO), Andrew and Ian joined the Board by shareholder election in March 2022.
Andrew is a highly regarded executive leader and strategic advisor who has held a number of senior, executive and director roles primarily across the professional services and consultancy sector. In 2001, Andrew co-founded and developed Eco Logical Australia Pty Ltd (ELA) into the largest ecological and bushfire consultancy in Australia. Andrew was the CEO and Director of ELA for 17 years. Andrew’s professional experience covers all phases of the entrepreneur and professional service journey from start up and developing internal shareholder base to eventual sale and integration. His experience also includes driving strategic focus, cultural, operational, and performance improvements.
Ian has extensive experience in board leadership and governance, combined with engagement in the construction sector at the highest levels within government and the private sector. From 2003 to 2018, Ian served as the Chief Executive Officer of Roads Australia, the national peak body for Australia’s road industry. He has a thorough understanding of the stakeholders and policy issues confronting the industry. During this time, he was also assigned to the International Road Federation as Director-General. His professional career includes 16 years as a career diplomat and 30 years as a Chief Executive in both the public and private sectors in New South Wales and Victoria.
