Each and every Coffey Testing staff member has access to internal and external training materials and programs that will allow them to excel within their career. On the first week, all new staff will have the opportunity to access the Training Academy, something that has never before been done within the construction materials testing industry.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The external applicant applies through our careers page.
  • The Hiring Manager reviews application and shortlists the most suitable applicants.
  • HR Administrator then phone screens the shortlisted applicants and recommends suitable applicants for an interview with Hiring Manager.
  • Face-to-face interview is conducted with Hiring Manager and Human Resources Manager.
  • Reference checks are completed.
  • Pre-employment medicals and psychometric testing (for senior level positons) are conducted with the successful applicant.
  • Verbal job offer is given by the Hiring Manager and start date is discussed.
  • Employment contract is then sent to successful candidate.

This is dependent on how quickly the applicant completes the different stages of the application process – including the interview attendance, completing pre-employment medicals, completing questionnaires, etc. This could take around two weeks at the very most. 

Various interview formats, which include;

  • Phone screening via the online video portal, and if successful,
  • A face-to-face interview. Otherwise, if this isn’t possible,
  • Face-to-face interviews via Teams can be done.

Yes – and this is heavily dependent on the position that they are being recruited for:

  • Laboratory roles will require a pre-employment medical and D&A testing.
  • Senior level roles require a psychometric testing assessment to be completed prior to coming on board.
  • All applicants are reference checked regardless of position.

Coffey Testing will directly communicate to an applicant should they be unsuccessful past the interview stage of the recruitment process.
