Coffey Testing are excited to be working with Robson Civil Projects, on behalf of Lake Macquarie City Council, on The Weir Road Bridge project at Barnsley.
The existing road is a mid-level causeway that was constructed in 1925 and experiences flooding several times a year. The Weir Road Bridge project involves the construction of a dual-lane bridge, the realignment of The Weir Road to improve road safety and the construction of a 3m-wide shared pathway on the northern side of the bridge to provide safer access for pedestrians and cyclists.
The team at Coffey Testing are providing soil and concrete testing services consisting of Field Density Testing, material quality testing – California Bearing Ratio, Particle Size Distribution & Plasticity Index plus compressive strength and consistency of concrete.
We are proud to be working alongside all project stakeholders to help deliver another critical piece of transport infrastructure for the Lake Macquarie region.
