LGA Rehabilitation Program – Pavement Investigation

Coffey Testing are able to identify the suitability of the materials and see if they can be stabilised, re-used and modified to last the pavement design life.

Client: Local Councils
Duration: A month
Location: Across ACT & NSW

Our Coffey Testing drilling team from the Central Coast is assisting local councils in the LGA Rehabilitation Program.

Our primary role in this project is to investigate and identify the sub-surface conditions, by advancing boreholes within the existing pavements that have met their design life, identify their defects and then take the samples of the various strata and layers to our laboratory for testing. From here, we are able to identify the suitability to see if the insitu materials can be stabilised, re-used and modified to last the pavement design life.

By restoring the current state of the pavement, not only is Coffey Testing helping these country roads become more suitable and safer for our drivers, but they are also:

Significantly reducing waste of materials that would otherwise be discarded,
Decreasing the project’s impacts on the environment, and
Minimising the cost associated with local taxpayers.
