Matthew George (‘Matt’) has been in the industry since 2006 and has been working with Coffey Testing since 2012.
Starting out with the company as an earthworks technician, Matt worked his way up to the 2IC role at our Newcastle Laboratory and brings his experience into his current Quality and Training role. Matt has worked on various major projects throughout his CMT career spanning Housing, Transport & Energy infrastructure, along with many other projects of varying scopes and sizes.
Matt also has a Diploma of Laboratory Technology (Construction Materials Testing) under his belt and is now responsible for the assistance of training new and existing staff in accordance with NATA & Australian Standards.
When it comes to working at Coffey Testing, Matt says, “I really enjoy the type of people that I work with. Everyone makes time to help whenever someone has a question or problem, allowing us to work as one team.
“Meeting the new staff at the Training Academy and helping them hit the ground running within their new career path is also something I find very rewarding as well.”
