Coffey Testing – WA have been fortunate enough to be part of the Murchison Infrastructure project, located in Wajarri country in the radio quiet zone east of Geraldton where we are involved in construction of the airstrip and associated main access road.
This is a multinational project based in the UK with radio antenna arrays being installed in South Africa and Western Australia. Once completed in the late 2020s the arrays are to be linked as part of a new generation of radio telescopes helping provide new proof to theorems and to continue astronomical research.
The Coffey Testing team were mobilised to site in early December, with ongoing work until mid-March this year.
Our technicians have been conducting the following types of testing:
- Nuclear Density Testing,
- Moisture Control Testing,
- Modified Compaction Testing,
- Particle Size Grading,
- Atterberg Limits,
- California Bearing Ratio, and
- Level 1 Supervision.
