In 2019, Coffey Testing went through a senior management buy-out from Tetra Tech Coffey, which made the business a wholly staff and Australian Owned entity.
It’s been 5 years since the buy-out, and we wanted to look back on that time and how we have grown and changed since then.
- Coffey Testing celebrated 65 years of operations in 2024, which is a massive milestone for the business and is something our team are greatly proud of.
- We are 100% Australian Owned and certified. This further showcases our commitment to driving and growing Australia’s business community through supporting local businesses, contributing to some of Australia’s biggest infrastructure projects that aim to support the Australian economy, and our goals to continue employing local talent. We have also since won the 2024 ‘Proudly Australian’ Business Awards to showcase our commitment to the Australian economy and construction industry.
- Coffey Testing has seen an expansion within our operations across Australia. We have opened the following laboratories to be able to further assist and attend to our clients’ needs; –

- We now have an Independent Board of Executive Directors, that further assist with supporting and developing the best possible strategies for the business. The Board includes:

– Darren Pickering; Coffey Testing’s CFO
- Coffey Testing are affiliated with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and have been working to increase the participation of women in the construction space, and continuing to encourage the women that we employ to find their voices in this male-dominated industry.
Over the past 5 years, Coffey Testing has experienced significant positive changes, driven by the professional expertise of our team and overall process improvements. These advancements have not only enhanced our working culture but also enabled us to grow and expand our testing capabilities across Australia. Looking ahead, Coffey Testing will continue to evolve, driving ongoing progress and allowing us to further expand our services nationwide.
