Celebrating Dawn Watt’s Achievement and Coffey Testing’s Commitment to Volunteering

We are thrilled to announce that our CEO, Dawn Watt, has been named the 2024 Hunter Adult Volunteer of the Year! This prestigious award recognises Dawn’s exceptional leadership and tireless dedication to both the community and the sport of ice hockey.

Dawn’s leadership has been instrumental in establishing the Newcastle Northstars, one of Australia’s largest and most respected ice hockey clubs. She has also played a key role in forming the Newcastle Ice Hockey League, coaching the Northstars Paralympic Sled Hockey team, and serving as Vice President of Ice Hockey NSW. This recognition as the 2024 Hunter Adult Volunteer of the Year is a well-deserved acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions. Congratulations, Dawn, and well done to all the other nominees and winners across the state!

Coffey Testing’s Commitment to Volunteering

At Coffey Testing, we recognise the incredible value that volunteers bring to our communities and society as a whole. In fact, Australian volunteers save the economy a staggering $176 billion each year.

To further demonstrate our commitment to giving back, we are proud to introduce a new initiative that supports our employees’ volunteering efforts. Staff will now be entitled to one extra day of leave each year specifically for volunteering. This leave is designed to help our team members contribute to causes they are passionate about and make a positive impact in their communities.

We believe that even small acts of volunteerism can make a big difference, and we encourage all our team members to get involved and use this extra leave day to support the causes that matter most to them.
